After hiring us for our Virtual Assisting services and Social Media Management, Katherine was looking for someone to give her website a refresh. After collaborating with her on her social media, our team already had some understanding of the artistic direction Katherine desired for her new website which made us the perfect partners!
To give you a bit of background let’s explore the world of Katherine Elizabeth Millinery!
Client Background:
Katherine Elizabeth is an award-winning British milliner with over 20 years of experience making hats. She specialises in creating bespoke headpieces for clients, whether that collaborating with designers or working on hats for special occasions like weddings and race days!
Today, Katherine is an award-winning milliner who has created hats for Kyle Ho, Jasper Garvida, the Asudari show during Paris Fashion Week, Debbie McGee, Dita Von Teese, Lily Allen, The Noisettes, and Downton Abbey.
The Brief & Journey:
We were tasked with creating a mobile responsive website on Squarespace that was clean, modern and beautiful but had some edge that brought in her love for architecture. This is also portrayed in the stunning hats she creates and this project provided a great opportunity to bring that into the new design! We wanted to aim the site towards designers and high end clientele, so having a clean site that had a luxurious edge was the way to go!
After meeting with Katherine to discuss design, what she wanted on the website and what she didn’t want, we drafted up a whole interactive design that reflected her vision. Following a meeting to assess the new design, making some tweaks and consultancy to ensure we had the best user experience for users - it was approved and ready for the world to see!
In addition to a redesign, we also carried out some basic technical SEO as well as research and SEO optimisation of her most important landing pages. This was alongside restructuring and rewriting content to reflect Katherine’s stunning collections and values.
